EDUCAÇÃO SOCIOEMOCIONAL, ESSENCIAL NO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL: CONTRIBUINDO PARA UM PROCESSO EDUCATIVO MAIS EFICAZ

Abstract
In an scenario complex and interconnected world panorama, the capacity and ability to understand and manage emotions, establish empathy and make responsible decisions is crucial to improving the Educational Process, socio-emotional education has become an essential component in the context of teaching students fundamental, this research is of a basic nature, applied where a qualitative approach was adopted, a bibliographic search was carried out in the databases of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and from Google Scholar. Books, articles and published documents that address the topic were selected. The intention of this research a priori was to respond to: What are the concepts, applicability and dynamics of socio-emotional skills in the students' educational process. In short, socio-emotional education plays a fundamental role in the integral development of children in elementary school. By promoting skills such as self-awareness, self-control, empathy, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making, SEL contributes significantly to students' emotional, social, and academic well-being.
