ADAPTAÇÃO DO PROJETO ROSE PARA APLICAÇÃO EM ESCOLAS DE ENSINO MÉDIO DE CARUARU-PE
Main Article Content
Abstract
Over the years, the search for improvements in student results has been growing more and more. With this, the contents that will be covered in entrance exams and external tests are highlighted, and so with each passing year, many contents that are of interest to students are left aside by institutions and teachers. Thinking about improving science and technology teaching in schools, the Rose Project (Relevance of Science Education) was developed at the University of Oslo (Norway), where researchers analyzed topics of interest to students from 40 countries, including Brazil. In this work, we developed a data collection instrument based on the Rose Project, which aimed to find out if the subjects that students want to be exposed to are included in the guidelines that make up their curriculum and if they themselves know if these subjects will be present in your academic life. This work was applied in two schools in the municipality of Caruaru, located in the state of Pernambuco: a public school from the State network, EREM Professor Lisboa, and another from the private education network, Colégio Alternativo de Caruaru. With the collected data, it was possible to answer these questions in the two teaching networks and compare them to know if even with school variation students still have on average the same mentality of the subjects they want to observe and if they know which subjects they will see these issues in the classroom.
