A IMPORTÂNCIA DOS CUIDADOS DE ENFERMAGEM NO PERÍODO PRÉ-OPERATÓRIO

Abstract
Nursing care is extremely important to maintain the well-being of patients, especially in the preoperative period. In this context, the present study aimed to carry out an integrative literature review, in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Google academic databases, between the years 2017 and 2022, which would answer the guiding question: What is the focus and approach of scientific articles that discuss Nursing care in the preoperative period? 93 articles were selected, and after refinement, through the exclusion and eligibility criteria, 10 articles remained. The most representative indexing base were LILACS and SciELO, both representing 85.71% of the publications, and the BDENF database 14.28%. There were few publications between the evaluated time interval (2017 and 2022), with two literature review studies, two integrative review studies, two with a qualitative and descriptive approach, two intervention studies, one methodological study and one descriptive study. exploratory. The results and discussions of the articles analyzed confirm that nursing care/assistance in the preoperative period decreases the anxiety of patients regarding the surgical procedures to be submitted, based on educational interventions, construction of care instruments or simply through the clarification of doubts of patients and their companions, and consequently preventing complications in the postoperative period.
